TravelAid has been working in partnership with the UNITED SIKHS since 2006.

In 2006, TravelAId volunteers worked with the English department at Khalsa college to deliver a communications skills workshop to technology students.  The volunteers also set up debating sessions; one motion centred on forced marriage.  At Dhulka school, volunteers taught english to over 300 students.  In 2007, volunteers provided intensive tuition to six chidren from disadvantaged backgrounds hoping to receive a scholarship for a school place.  In 2008, volunteer held seminars to discuss the differences between Indian and English culture at Khalsa college and used new interactive teaching methods to deliver lessons to younger students at Dhulka.
