The project is based in Quito, and volunteers work with TravelAid partner charity, FSM (Fundacion San Martin). FSM helps working children and their families to improve their quality of lives through education and job training, nutrition programs, health and social services, psychological help and recreation.
TravelAid volunteers work with FSM to organise and run an annual summer school for children from the San Martin district as well as assisting with daily activities such as teaching. Volunteers raise funds before they leave the UK in order to support FSM's work.
