TravelAid works very hard to provide university students an overseas volunteering experience which is not prohibitively expensive.
To volunteer with TravelAid, volunteers must be able to pay the following:
(a) £50 fee to cover the cost of a TravelAid t-shirt, a contribution to the costs of training courses and overall administration.
(b) Personal expenses: these include flights, visas, vaccinations, insurance, food and accommodation. In some projects accommodation is provided free of charge by our partner charity; check the project page or contact us for more information.
Volunteers should note that there are a number of university/college funded grants available for students undertaking voluntary work overseas.
